She is an archivist of your life—a photographer who will capture your loved ones with individual attention, grace, and imagination. A picture is never just a picture, but the act of freezing a moment in time. Midori appreciates the gift of photography; she will not simply take a portrait, but capture the person inside.

“I approach all my pictures wanting to find something special that makes them stand apart.  I always want my pictures to be new and exciting, to show the powerful connection between people."

Growing up in Washington, Midori often visited art galleries as a child to indulge her first love: paintings. At an early age, she learned to appreciate art as well develop an eye for it. Her interest steadily developed into a passion, which lead her to classes in fine arts, including watercolor and pastel techniques.

Her journey to portrait photography was born of two passions in her life uniting: her newborn baby boy and fine art. When Midori began to document the growth of her first born son for her own personal benefit, other mothers in her acquaintance inquired of her to do the same for their babies. She realized this was a path she wanted to pursue, for herself and for other mothers who wanted creative and personalized portraits of their babies.
